Red Lion Freehouse

Red Lion Freehouse is a restaurant located in East Chisenbury. We are most proud of how much of our food we do, in fact, make. If it is possible and feasible, we will make it in-house. An example, you ask? An outstanding illustration is a simple sandwich. A Red Lion sandwich starts with our own bread- sourdough made from a 2-year-old starter developed from the natural yeasts found here in East Chisenbury. To smother on that we have successfully perfected a number of condiments - ketchup, mayonnaise, chutney, dressing, horseradish!! Tomato and lettuce? . .Grown in our green house. But what about the meats? We cure, smoke, hang & roast almost all of our own meats and charcuterie. The result is a delicious sandwich that actually is home-made.
